The art of paddle board balance training is by no means an easy one. Granted the shape of a paddle board is designed to make it more stable on the water than a surf board, but balancing on one is a task that provides a great work out. Whether on still water or not, the combined skill of staying upright on the board and propelling the board through the water with your paddle makes for a low impact while physically strenuous exercise. There are a few reasons why balancing training on a paddle board makes for such a great workout..
• It’s naturalThink about all of the other ways you can be on top on the water and propelling yourself forward at the same time. Most of them require a motor, and all of that sound and exhaust seriously takes a way from the peace and harmony that being out on the water would otherwise provide. There is something very relaxing about being so close to the water, almost feeling like you’re walking on top of it. Once you’re out there it starts to feel so natural that you hardly realize you’re getting an amazing core workout.
• Injury RehabWhat makes stand up paddle boarding so good for rehabilitating injuries is the balance training aspect and that all of the movements involved are so smooth and they go through a full range of motion. The fluid motions of your body while you’re on the board provide a perfect environment for strengthening and conditioning your muscles. Another thing that helps is that you are forced to continuously adjust your body position to stay balanced on the board. This strengthens all of the small stabilizer muscles in your body that are so important to support your bones and posture, and speed your recovery from injury. There is also no doubt that being outside and on the water gives you a mental boost, and anyone who was dealt with an injury knows that staying positive and motivated is a big part of the recovery process.
• The Fun FactorOnce you get good paddle board balance, it’s just really fun to be out on the water. Let’s be honest, there are a lot of ways to workout that can feel like you’re working out. I mean, they feel like work. When you’re out on the paddle board you don’t even feel like you’re working out, but you’re getting a cross training effect that hammers your whole body really hard. If you haven’t tried it you’ll be very surprised at just how much you use your muscles while you’re out there. Chances are you won’t feel it until later since you’ll be having so much fun that it will feel way more like playing than like some kind of serious workout. How cool is that?
If you have some kind of injury, or you’re looking for a new way to get a full body workout, you should give stand up paddle boarding a try. All you need to get started is a board and a paddle. Hope to see you out there.

You can even so catch waves, like you would on some sort of surf board, and and also the bigger waves additionally you can ride the smaller sized or ‘messier’ waves that your chosen surfer would not have the ability. Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a great deal more versatile too, so that you can head into quieter turbulent waters, paddle up river or simply use it with a lake. It is as well great if you endure back problems, considering while surfing, you happen to be lying on this board and arching ones own back. Sense of achievementImportantly you should experience a wonderful sense of achievement while you learn to work with your paddle aboard. Don’t expect to be able to ride the monster waves in the first place. Remember, practice would make perfect. .Stand up paddle boarding ‘s been around for a two years but I didn’t wind up in it until spring and coil of 2010. Nice to read a fun new discovery to me! Modern stand upward paddle boarding (sup) was first ‘developed’ in Hawaii previously by professional viewers. It has consequently, come to a masses, surfers not to mention non-surfers alike, athletes and those without much casual experience, background or maybe stamina. SUP is fun for everyone and here’s so why… Stand up paddle boarding is known as a low impact workout that burns a great many calories! It is certainly ‘no impact’; there’s no pounding, impact or simply harsh movement upon any joints. That you are standing, and swimming. For those through shoulder injuries the paddling might be a problem based on the nature and severity from the injury. However, if you go at a time with little or no wind you’ll be able to paddle very casually. The statistics I’ve got looked up line a calorie shed rate of 500 to 700 calories hourly for women not to mention 800 to 1000 calories each hour for men! Those numbers are journey charts compared to a lot of forms of exercise and also the best part is make fish an hour on a board goes on very fast, most likely you should stay out even longer in case you have the time. Everyone I discuss with about SUP possesses a story about where did they, or someone these know, got in the right shape of their life therefore awesome sport more than once a week. The main thing that resist paddle boarding will take is good debt. The board itself is usually larger, wider and thicker than just a surf board with a number fins on the base. As a beginner you start by kneeling on the actual board and starting out paddle moving to an upright kneeling position and next, when you are prepared, you stand up together with your feet in the equivalent wide, evenly spaced pose and feet parallel position that knees were for. You want your own on the board that they are with your weight relatively dedicated to the board. Therefore you paddle. That’s that. It doesn’t seem like much, and to watch out someone do the item, it doesn’t appear as if much, but the secret is in what is going on with your body system. The work driving SUP is all of isometric and battle.
